INTELLIGENT GENERATOR CHANGE OVER & POWER LIMITER (IGC)
OPERATIONS
- (1) Normally when the mains supply is available, the IGC allows metered unrestricted Supply from mains.
- (2) When the mains supply fails and stand by Generator Power Supply is On, IGC connects the generator power (normally un-metered) to each Flat/Office/Villa/Shop in a sequence, monitoring load.
- (3) The generator power allotment is Factory set and sealed in IGC as per buyer specification and is available on all load circuits.
- (4) Whenever the load current exceeds preset limit, the generator power is automatically switched off for 15 seconds necessitating the user to reduce the load to allotted power and then automatically restore it.
- (5) This Function repeats till over load exists on resumption of mains power it again automatically change over.
ADVANTAGES

- (2) No separate wiring required full load can be connected to generator power.
- (3) Allotted power is assured. More power cannot be consumed on generator running.

Notes
- (1) The circuit breaker monitors load current only, ignoring power factor. Hence there may be an apparent discrepancy in equating amperes with especially at lower power factor.
- (2) Model IGC 001 is suitable only for lighting lads and is not recommended for air conditioning load.
- (3) All models have a common “Neutral” unless specified otherwise.
- (4) It is available to connect the ELCB, if any at the load outgoing side of a changeover.
